Suprises around the CCHA

We may have laughed at the Laurier game thinking that it was a no lose situation, however others in the CCHA were not so lucky.
1.Ferris State lost 3-1 to the same Wilfrid Laurier team we pounded.
2.I know Ohio State seems to be the experts sleeper pick claiming that the are for real. Maybe they are, but 0-2 start losing to Western Ontario and Quninipiac don't show great signs of a conference contender. Now it's time for Mankato State (sorry Minnesota State still sounds weird) who needed overtime to beat Lethbridge (who also gave UNO a run for their money.)
3.Is it to early to give up on Eno?

I'm hopeful that Eno will have a good comeback season. I read an article talking about Alaska's goalie from last season having trouble coming back from a high ankle sprain in 2007-2008. The article basically said that it took him a long time before the ankle healed. Obviously he had a tremendous year last season for Alaska. Hopefully Nick can regain his form and be solid like he was as a freshman.
As for this weekend, I think a split would be a really good weekend for us. Going on the road against a solid WCHA opponent without 3 of our top guys on Friday, and Solway still missing Saturday. We'll see I guess, but I think that if Coach Williams finds a way to get a split, then it will be a good start.

1 and 2, There's a reason the games are played on the ice.
3, This isn't North Dakota. BG rarely decides on a number 1 goalie the first week of the season. And Coach Willaims has already said they will split time until there is a clear front runner.

High ankle sprains tend to take a long time... and yeah thats the best option split the time until a front runner... I have a feeling it will be Hammond. Eno hasnt really improved much since his fr. year and he needed improvement then to be successful!

More suprises in the CCHA tonight!
1. BGSU suprised me in only losing by one undermaned.
2. Ohio State SWEPT by big Q at Value City
3. Alaska takes out number 1 Michigan 2-0 in Anchorage setting up a UAF vs UAA matchup?
4. This is the biggest shocker of the day...Alabama-Huntsville 3 Notre Dame 2. ND's only goals off the power play. Huntsville wins dramatically on the powerplay with 5 ticks left.
on a side note big ups to David Toews at the real UND for a goal and assist

Huntsvill is going to play well this year, they are on a mission.
USA played behind all night to boston college where BC scored the first goal a min 39 in to the first, then a second near the horn.
4 for bc and 2 for USA entering the 3rd where USA scored 3 min in and made it a 4-3 and looked to be in postion to score again when caught them in transitional and found the net at 7 58 into the 3rd then scored the final goal in last mins on a pp to win 6-3.
