Bylsma/Blake Feature Story
FSN Pittsburgh just ran a nice little feature on Bylsma and Blake's time at BG in the late 80's during the first intermission of the Pens/Sharks game. They had some really great old WTOL footage of some Blake goals and had Bylsma talking about his time at the hockey house, and Blake making him do the dishes and change the TV channels for him when he was a freshman. It was pretty amazing to see those shots of the Ice Arena packed and absolutely rocking. I hope we can get back to that point some day.

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Hopefully I'll be able to find one. FSN sometimes archives their intermission features on their site, and there's always the chance somebody will youtube it. I'll keep an eye out.

What a great interview! It was a blast seeing Blake's slap shots from the point again. Those were the days.

Yep. And not quite as classy as you, apparently....ktrain wrote:Gotta love the Pens Baby...i am assuming most of the people on here r redwing and blue jacket turds?
Oh, and I don't "gotta love" anything. Except maybe my wife. And I'm sure there's even a loophole there, somewhere.
