I do love to see BG above Michigan in the standings (even if they do have games in hand).

Please note the change to Friday's radio schedule. The game is being broadcast on WFAL instead of 88.1.

Any particular reason why the Saturday game is starting at 5:05?

I would have to assume it's because the Soo is so freakin' far from here. They'd like to get going a little earlier, which I can't say I blame them.

GO FALCONS!!

NEVER GIVE UP!
NEVER SURRENDER!

Here's your lines and misc. info before puck drop at 7:

F1: JST - Solway - Dee
F2: Pageau - Perkin - Kantola
F3: Rodriguez - Boyd - Petruska
F4: Potacco - McIntosh - Freismuth

D1: Page - Ruel
D2: Grover - Krelove
D3: Shea - Moore

G: Eno - Hammond

- I almost cried of happiness when I pulled into the parking lot: there were a group of students tailgating. My baby's growing up.
- The news about Sexton and Spratt is buzzing in the box. Great news for some Falcon alum.
- Starting in net for the Lakers is Mahoney-Wilson. 2.53 GAA, .916%.

BG loses a tough one, 2-1. Good energy and very physical but couldn't recover from 2 early goals.

That Mahoney-Wilson is a really good goaltender. I remember we had a lot of trouble with him the last few times we played LSSU too.

Gotta get that game tomorrow. As good as we've been against the good teams, we can't afford to get swept by teams like LSSU and Ferris.

Two flukey goals that were deflected two or three times. Can't fault Eno on either one. He played a great game.

Something to try different tomorrow is dump the puck on the goalie. Make him handle the puck. Or freeze it and get a whistle. More time was wasted on the powerplay while guys chased the puck back to our end. And it wasn't just once or twice, it was constantly. The goalie can't freeze the puck if it doesn't get near him. Take the chance on a misplay by him. Do something, other than just chasing the damn puck!

Well said! I thought Eno was awesome again. I was disappointed to see the team have the slow start but they seemed to gel more as the game went on. I really liked how the defense played in the second and third periods.

I also thought the Lake St. players were a little too chippy tonight. They seemed to be trying to draw us into the scrums that would result in some kind of penalty for BG.

I agree about the slow start, though I did like the passion coming back in the third period. I could tell players like JST, Kai, and Solway were really trying to make it happen every time they stepped out onto the ice. I'm getting really excited for Tomas. He's doing so great this year! And Tommy Dee!

5-2 loss on Saturday. This is a crossroads of the BG season. They've had some pretty good weeks of play thus far but this weekend they couldn't take care of business against a team of the same kind of expectations as themselves. Next weekend is going to be a tough series against a very good Spartan team.

- In case you haven't heard the temperature (or lack thereof) in the Arena With No Name was due to one of the chillers being replaced. This chiller should be replaced very soon (winter break-ish).
- LSSU head coach Jim Roque doesn't believe in a 10 minute "cooling off" period required by the NCAA. Very nice guy though and a good coach.
- Inglis started in net because of an injury but did pretty well for himself.
- Shea was given a game DQ and will not be available for play Friday. The LSSU player was bleeding due to a cut above the eye and was the player that initially went to the box and then headed to the locker room. In total the scrum at 19:39 of the 3rd resulted in 11 total penalties for both squads.
- The suspect officiating this weekend was noted by a CCHA official. Props to both coaches though for not mentioning this at all.

Recap will be posted soon at http://www.bringbacktheglory.org" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and the videos are uploading as I type.

That is exactly why the scrum at the end happened.

As for the DQ, complete bull. Shea had at least 2 LSSU players hanging on him and he was on his way to the ice well before he made contact. Add in the stick to Hammond's face earlier in the period and the cheap shot taken against Page well after the whistle near the end of the 1st and, well, when actual penalties aren't called you end up with games like the Western game a couple years ago....

The LSSU player was bleeding. A penalty has to be called at that point due to the rules.

The rules also say that if you hit a player in the head with your stick you get a penalty for high sticking. If you embellish a hit/check you get a penalty, if you hit a player after the whistle you get a penalty....I could go on. Rules were broken before that point and then all of a sudden you have to call it by the book? And the goalie wasn't the one bleeding????
