My daughter and I will be in Columbus to attend Friday night's game. Is there a particular section where those of you attending will be sitting? It might be nice to have a BG cheering section, especially when Schottenstein is so cavernous.

Be careful if you ask to sit with other BG fans. That's what we said when we went to Columbus two years ago and they sold us tickets right next to the OSU band. We were the only BG fans in the section and it was so loud my wife and I couldn't even talk. Fortunately the usher was really cool and let us move to a section that was mostly empty in the upper level.

We're going on Saturday. This is a big series for us! We need to come out strong and aggressive. I know we can have a good second half of the season!

I don't want to start a thread for this because I feel it really doesn't deserve one, but Bryan Potacco has officially left the team. The reason I was given was "difference in philosophy." Hopefully the guy can get his degree somewhere.

So now we're looking to fill 10 roster spots (counting McIlrath's spot) next year and we already have 5 commitments. Greer, Moore, and Potacco are hardly key losses. JST, Pageau, and Rodriguez have had good freshman seasons so far. I think we're still in pretty good shape for the rest of this year and next as long as we don't have any more top players leave early.

2-3 after 2. Not what one would consider good attendance or an exciting game...

I agree with everyone else that was there. It was a very brutal game to sit through and watch.

The play was sloppy and slow. A lot of players standing around watching the puck go by. The defense wasn't really helping Eno very much. Offensively, it appeared early on, we were having target practice to see how many times we could hit the zero on their goalie's jersey. They really just couldn't get anything going. A lot of missed second shot opportunities around the net. I could go on. On the bright side, it was nice seeing a lot of BG fans make the trip.

Right now our team has the ability to play with any team out there...no matter how good or bad that team may be...we need to play our game, have our own style of play-an identity.
I missed the game, I was watching a family members game. sounds not so good though, I think we will see our team at home.

Just a couple things I noticed before we move on till Saturday:

- OSU came out very slow. Definitely some rink rust after 4 weeks. But, BG couldn't convert on those opportunities.
- When JST and Solway get clicking they are very difficult to stop. But, getting them on the same page seems to be a bit of a challenge.
- The PP is starting to fall back into bad habits. Too much passing at times.
- There wasn't a 4th line center listed in the line chart.
- When we are on the power play we can't commit dumb/lazy penalties. Getting called for a hook while on the PP should never happen.
- OSU was able to force us to the boards and we didn't get many good looks. Getting point shots aren't a bad thing if you have players who are able to clean up the garbage.

The good news is that there isn't a shortage of things we need to improve! Tonight's over, time to focus on Saturday.
