Apparently, when Anaheim acquired Jason Blake from Toronto on Sunday, they had to make room. Unfortunately, Dan was low on the totem pole. Keep working hard Dan, you've proven you belong in the NHL. This is just another part of the process.

His NHL audition def. went pretty well, hopefully he'll get called up at another point this year. Eighteen points in twenty-eight games is pretty impressive for any rookie, but even more impressive for an undrafted college free agent who essentially went directly from the ECHL to the NHL.

Even if he doesn't end up as an NHL regular with the Ducks, he has def. caught the attention of people around the league.

Watching the Wings - Ducks game on NHL Network and they mentioned Dan's name 6 times in the first period. They said numerous times how he gave the team a much needed lift. I expect him to be back after the Olympic break.

Yea I was just saying to my buddy how good this Sexton kid is...we Turned the game off when they were playing the caps and came back 2 mins later and he had scored. Hes small but is quick and has an awesome shot he will def be back...and if hes not the Pens could use him on there 4th line.

Sexton pulled off a pretty nasty move in a shootout against San Antonio the other night. Click on the highlights for the February 6th game and fast forward to around 3:16 of the video to see it.
