Danton Cole has stepped down as the coach at Alabama-Huntsville to take a job as the head coach of the U-17 team of the US National Development team. With no conference to play in and the difficulties of putting together a schedule as an independent I wouldn't think people are going to be lining up to apply.

ODd, they are likely to be admitted to the CCHA next season. Yet the U17 has multiple upsides, it could be just as easily viewed as a forward step for Cole.
