Well, at least we won't disappoint & we have nowhere to go but up!

Well since all knowing "media" has weighed in and polls have been taken...thankfully unlike football the bias of the media can not hold us back and no league may prevent us from competing for a National Title. We will get what we earn. It takes no little to how the following played out, however I feel the final CCHA rankings snap shot will look quite different, from the media projection:

2. Michigan 2. Mich State
3. Michigan State 3. Notre Dame
4. Alaska 4. Mi
5. Notre Dame 5. Alaska
6. Ferris State 6. BGSU
7. Northern Michigan 7. Ferris State
8. Ohio State 8. LAke State
9. Lake Superior 9. Northern Mi
10. Western Michigan 10. Western MI
11. Bowling Green 11. Ohio State

BGSU's veteran core is just to strong to come up last.

I could see the team finishing as high as eighth if the stars aligned. I think we can realistically compete with WMU, but after that the talent level jumps up a bit. My number one concern is we lost our best defenseman (Page) off a unit that was really bad last season. If the D can play ok, the goalies will keep us in most of the games. Does anyone know how the playoffs will work now? Do all 11 teams qualify? Top 8? Top 10?

Everybody still makes the playoffs. First five teams get a bye in the first round.
