Good hard work pays off in the third period. "little things" like centering passes, looking up ice to see what's going on, a sense they have a plan of attack. Power play still needs a ton of work. Long way to go but I think this outfit will win a few games people don't expect. Essentially the Falcons beat a team they should have beaten -- and that's not something that's happened very often of late.

Agree. In the past, we often played to the level of the competition and not above it. We'd get a lead and instead of trying to build on it, we'd try to maintain it. It often resulted in a disappointing ending. Winning programs do not do that. They continually try to scored more so there is no chance for the opponent to come back with a lucky goal, a freaky bounce, or an untimely penalty! I liked the effort that I saw this weekend. Yeah I heard it was 2007 as well but that was on 88.1. Saturday night was my first hockey game I attended in a long time. Will definitely be going back. I plan on going to at least one of the games against Notre Dame.

Oh I will definitely be bring friends. I went with a few people to the game and after we talked about how we need to go to more games. There will be 5 of us probably on a regular basis from here on out. I used to go all the time in the 90's. I didn't realize how much I missed BG hockey and the atmosphere!

BG's current three game winning streak is the longest since November 2007, when the Falcons picked up five wins with back-to-back two game sweeps of Western Mich., Ferris State, and won first of a two game series vs Northern Mich. (11/2/07-11/16/07.)
