Monica Jablonski passed away Friday evening after driving her car into a pond at Stone Oak in Springfield. It is hoped that it was not a suicide attempt but a mechanical failure in the car. For those of you who don't know her, she has taught skating lessons for 35+ years in the Toledo area and is very well known amongst the hockey community in Toledo.

Her son Pat was an NHL goaltender and played with St. Louis, Montreal, Carolina, Phoenix and Tampa Bay.

My nephews were skating with her last week at Tam-o-Shanter, so this news really hits home. Just thought I would pass it along.

I was actually just thinking of her this past week as I figured out something she and I had been talking about, this is sadnews for many, she has touch alot of the local hockey community.
