BG and Miami part of Big Ten

Take it with a grain of salt but I heard through the grapevine that since Penn state is starting a D1 hockey team that they obviously had the intention of starting a Big Ten conference. Apparently it will include BG and Miami. The source is a big time Penn state fan and long time MAC hater so it may be true.

This is not where I got the news. It was a writer from the Pittsburgh Post Gazette who was at a Christmas party of ours. This was to show that it was being discussed.

It would be great to be apart of the Big Ten conference, though we could never leave the CCHA. Jack Vivian, a BG'er, started it, right? I think the creation of the BTHC would be bad for the sport of hockey and would ruin a great tradition. In the end, who knows...lets just keep showing improvement and become competitive in the CCHA again.

Honestly everything is going to be on the table when Penn State starts playing. I would hope any non-Big Ten school would demand a cut of the Big Ten Network money for joining a BTHC.
