Howdy Falcon Fans,
I got the chance to go up to Kalamazoo on Friday to visit my some of my family (they are all from Kalamazoo) and I decided to go to the hockey games while I was up there. These were two of the best games that I've seen our team play all year.
Our back check seemed much stronger than it usually is, and our defense was more willing to step up into the offensive zone. Western is a fantastic hockey team... holy cow, they've really turned it around. I got the chance to talk with one of the CCHA goal judges for about an hour before Saturday's game. He said the transformation of the team has been incredible to watch. They just keep shooting, and that's what a team has to do to win.
Andrew Hammond was the standout of the weekend, for sure. His play kept the Falcons in the game both nights.
