I liked seeing the team come out truly executing. Executing on what we have all come to know as the game plan. They were aggressive and all over the Lakers. The balance of speed, skill, size, and tenacity is really showing. We are getting our first real look at what is being built. A very solid start.

4-0-1 Great start.
Let's go for the sweep tomorrow night!
15 years since we have started the season unbeaten the first six games (96-97, 6-0-0). That year we then proceeded to lose 7 of the next 8 (0-7-1).
THE GAME PLAN IS IN EFFECT ....................
Fight for the "Joe".

Extremely proud of the boys tonight ...... looks like this team is competing at a high level.
The defense is outstanding, as well as the goaltending, back to back shutouts is awesome for a team the past few years that seemed to never pitch goose eggs.
Hammond is on top of his game at this point, largely in fact to experience of playing every night to finish the season last year and just the general experience being a junior now. Also, a tribute to the defense hes facing less shots this year which is allowing him to not be overwhelmed during games.
Offense is still struggling but its only at putting the puck in the net. Were getting the opportunities, alot more than last year, and we're winning puck battles in the offensive zone. Overall I think this team will bust out soon with an offensive explosion. Too much talent not too.
Get the sweep boys!!!!

The part I love the most? They're winning now with defense and special teams play. They are presently at the top of the league in both categories. I hope these two areas remain consistent and become the foundation of the season.
I agree that the offense will start getting the scores as the season progresses.
It's still early but being tied for third in the conference feels pretty darned good and I love what I'm seeing.

Wow, what a win! Safe to say that these types of games in the past would normaly have resulted in a L. Coach B certainly has the guys competing at the level needed to win on a weekly basis, now we need some of that skill to start shinning through, which in time it will! I feel like I'm still holding my breath tho and don't want to get to carried away with the teams early success. Get the sweep!

The fewer goals you allow, the fewer you need to score.
