While this is great news, you have to wonder what took so freaking long to get here. It's been two and a half years!

This is how they do fundraising. You try to solicit as many "big" donations as possible to show it's a viable effort then open it to all.

FALCON HOCKEY FOREVER!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."
~~USCHO Poster
"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Doesn't mean anything. He might have simple committed to help with the private side of the campaign. Or has other things needing his time.

And his son is on the team - he might feel it best not to look too involved with the AD and the coaches.

From today's Sentinel Tribute:

But multiple sources said Galley resigned either because he was unhappy with the way the university was overseeing the campaign or because he was unhappy with the way BG's medical staff handled his son's injury.
