Sure the NHL is on strike, but that doesn't mean they haven't been keeping a watchful eye on BG this season. Here's the exerpt from http://nhl.com/onthefly/news/2004/12/223114.html
FALCONS SOAR: The Bowling Green Falcons, who have 13 Canadians on their roster, have several players on NHL Central Scouting's preliminary draft rankings list.
Sophomore defenceman Jonathan Sigalet of Surrey, B.C., is the third-best college prospect available. Freshman forward Jonathan Matsumoto of Orleans, Ont., and sophomore forward James Unger are also on the list.
Freshman forward Alex Foster, who has 10 points in 14 games, is the son of former NHL player Dwight Foster of Toronto, who played for the Detroit Red Wings, Colorado Rockies and Boston Bruins.
Senior goaltender Jordan Sigalet, the older brother of Jonathan Sigalet, is the first goalie to be elected captain in 35 years of Bowling Green hockey.
The 2001 Boston Bruins draft pick recently divulged that he suffers from multiple sclerosis, an inflammatory disease of the central nervous system. First diagnosed last March, he has missed only three starts because of complications from the disease.
The Falcons have reached the eight-win mark faster this year than they have in any season since 1995.
