This Thursday Todd and I are scheduled to record the first Falcon Hockey podcast. This is something I've wanted to do for quite awhile as a way to further reach out to our fans. The current plan is to have around one show per month during the off-season and ramp up to a more regular schedule come season time.

Originally we were going to have Everett Fitzhugh, the Voice of Falcon Hockey, as our first guest. Unfortunately we weren't able to get schedules to work out. Apologies to him for the late notice but hopefully we can get him on next month.

Joining us Thursday is John Enright. For those who don't know John Enright is the SID for hockey and softball. He's got a great insider insight, a hockey player himself, and I think will be a great guest.

For the time being the Podcasts will be posted over on my BG hockey blog (http://bgsuhockey.wordpress.com) with the hope being eventually we can move it to be here as a one-stop-shop. More information will be posted when the podcast has been uploaded.

Now, I want to make things as interactive as possible. So if you have any topics or questions you'd like to ask please feel free to either post to this Topic or tweet me @AZZHockey

If for any reason we need to postpone things I'll post here as well.

The podcast is up at http://bgsuhockey.wordpress.com/2012/04 ... episode-1/

Thanks to John Enright and the BGSU Athletic Department. I think for the first run it went very well. If you have any input or comments please let me know.

Thank-you for the Podcast. This was an excellent interview! Gained a new respect for your incite on the team, the game, the players!
I owe you an apology i guess, although i still hope my last post can somehow be understood from you as, trying to be positive for all those players even the ones that have not played as much as others have.

No apologies needed. Disagreements aren't a bad thing at all. Differing opinions make this one of the better forums on AZZ IMO.

One thing I had to chuckle about: When you called the Joe, "Ann Arbor East," I just laughed and replayed that segment to make sure I had aheard it right. Your youth is showing (or is that MY age?)!! We used to call it Munn East back in the day when we would lose in OT to them up there more times than I want to recall! I remember the spartan fans hanging up a sign in the Joe that said "MUNN EAST." For a LOOOOOOONG time, we really, REALLY, REALLY hated Michigan State. Did I mentiona how much we hated Michigan State (hence: "Go Green, Go White, Go Suck an Egg!!")? The weasels were an afterthought back then. You could buy tickets at the door when we went to up to Yost. They never sold out. When they started to become a perennial power, we were starting to fall back in the standings and were not going to the Joe like we regularly did in the past.

Fun to dig back into those memories!!

Thanks, Drew!

What a REALLY great interview, btw!!!! Looking forward to the next one! :supz:

I've gotten some great feedback so far. Thanks to everyone who's listened so far. Here this week I should get the OK from Apple to have it listed on iTunes so people can subscribe to the podcast. As I mentioned during the podcast I wouldn't expect another podcast until mid to late May.

Edit: The podcast is now listed on iTunes @ http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/falc ... d523292785

If you subscribe to the podcast through iTunes it will automatically download when a new episode is available. Feel free to leave a rating, subscribe, and share.
