Two new recruits

Two recruits have verbally committed to play college hockey at Bowling Green. The two are forward Kevin Dufour of Carleton Place (Ontario) in the Central Canadian (Junior) Hockey League and goalie Chris Nell of Chicago in the United States (Junior) Hockey League. Dufour has 22 goals and 26 assists, including six power-play goals, in 49 games. The 5-foot-11, 186-pounder is from Beauport, Quebec and turns 21 in July. Nell has a 4.03 goals-against average and an .887 save percentage in 14 games (10 starts) this season. Nell (6-1, 162) is from Green Bay, Wis. And turns 19 in September. Based on their birth dates, Dufour will join the Falcons next season and Nell probably will join BG for the 2014-15 season.
Under NCAA rules, BG coach Chris Bergeron can’t comment on the recruits until they’ve signed their national letters of intent.
