Mr Obvious here to say this series is HUGE for us; and also for them.

The difference between 8th and 9th place is massive when tournament time comes, although we've fared well on the road the last couple of years...it would sure be sweet to get that first round series at home.

Coach did not say who Freisberg will replace during his interview, but he did say he was going to play...of course he is! Hammond is supposed to be on the ice today for practice, and if everything feels right he may be starting on Friday. They do not want to rush him.

A Northern sweep probably means a trip to Marquette for BG in two weeks. A split will probably land Northern in BG. A BG sweep and flip a coin between UM and Northern being in BG. So, how does Northern play it this weekend? The best chance to avoid BG in the playoffs is to let us sweep. Or, do they play their hearts out to try for "third time's a charm?"

The defense lineup has been pretty consistent all season. Shea, Sullivan, Perrier, and Kucera are the top 4 with Peltoma, Hafner, and Delgadillo rotating through the lineup for the last two spots. Hafner has seen the majority of playing time of those three it seems like (didn't look it up officially). Seeing that Ralfs will be playing Saturday night, I look for Peltoma to be dressed, with Hafner and Delgadillo sitting out. Pairings will probably be Shea-Sullivan, Perrier-Freiburgs, and Kucera-Peltoma.

They will probably play their hearts out no matter what. I would love to see a BG sweep, but I don't want to see northern let us sweep them.

Without a doubt. Northern has lost 1st round playoff series, at home, to the last place team the past two years. I know how mad that'd make me.

We haven't beaten them at home in the past 2 years! I'm ready to get loud and crazy!

Could have locked up home ice this weekend and their on the verge of pissing it away. Aweful, aweful, aweful.

21 shots and 5 go in - where's the D? That just above 80 percent save percentage, thats equivalent to a HS JV goalie.

Michigan won and LSSU just tied up miami so the margin for error BG did have is quickly gone.

Team came out super flat tonight. It was an ugly game to watch. Our powerplay was pretty miserable, too.

Can't lose tomorrow night or next weekend is going to be super difficult.

Burke looked alright in goal... but I think after the third goal they were in his head.
