As a long time hockey fan (1978 was my freshman year and first game) I want to thank the enthusiastic students that came to the exhibition game. That was by far the best student section for an exhibition game I can remember. It definitely pumped up the team and clearly was a big advantage. Now keep it up throughout the season and it could be a very special one. You do make a difference!

yah, I noticed the same thing. really changes the vibe of the place, and has to make it hard for visitors.
especially liked the singing--sorta like the hardcore euro soccer fans do.
more students! more singing!

Agreed! I got there during the first intermission and was shocked by both the new paint/scoreboards and the size of the crowd. I ran up to the student section and starting singing along! I loved the fact that they sang all 7 Ay-Zigs after the last goal. Now if we can just get the arena staff to play the fight song after we score.... :P

Great student section. However, the chant of USA, USA, USA was just lame. Half our team is Canadian and we even have a Latvian native on the team. Made no sense to me. Thanks for the great enthusiasm but please ditch this chant. I am assuming it was because we were playing a Canadian college team but still.
