A very good team defensively. A struggling team offensively. The boys have their work cut out for them this weekend.

So Tech likes to play defense, eh?

I suggest we let them play a whole lot of it!

Possession, possession, possession.

As long as that "possession, possession, possession" equals BG goals on the scoreboard, I'm ok with that.

I watched the games we played up there and we were extremely lucky to come away with 3 points. Tech is fast, and they dominated us in SOG. Fortunately Tommy was on his game and kept us in it. Their goaltending and defense are average (so I differ from your opinion, PDT) but they haven't been able to bury their shots which is the reason for their current position. They're a dangerous team and we did not match up with them well when we played them last month. Hopefully with the return of Carpenter we will this weekend.

End of the 1st, Tech leads 2-0. Sholl definitely wants both of those back.

These guys are FAST.

End of 2, and it's 5-1, Tech. Burke in goal after the 4th was scored.

The important thing is that BGSU is trying their hardest. It's not about whats on the scoreboard, but what's in our hearts! In my eyes the Falcons are number one! With these types of efforts they'll be fighting for a spot in the NCAA tournament!

With efforts like that we'll be lucky to keep home ice for playoffs....unfortunately we dont play Huntsville, Robert Morris, and Alaska anymore. We look pretty average against teams that are nowhere near the NCAA Tournament.
If you go by the pairwise rankings, Ferris is the only team that gets in from the WCHA.

Last two Friday nights we have not played well enough to even be competitive. Then we show up last Saturday and but kick them all over the ice. Interesting to see what happens tonight. If we keep splitting weekends somebody in the conference is going to have couple good weekends in a row and catch us. Defense looks very shaky at best and there is visible spots throughout last night where we just got out hustled to the puck. Hustle has nothing to with speed, plan and simple that's effort or lack there of. Keep giving the effort like Friday night or even last Frida night and we will be on the road in the first round of WCHA playoffs. One thing about getting into this league was that it is significantly weaker then the CCHA and with that we could potentially have a home playoff series. That's is jeopardy.

End of the first, 2-1 BG.

Tech has their headhunters out tonight.

End of two, BG leads 3-2. Perrier and Freibergs both got tossed so BG will finish with 4 defensemen.....unless Kevin Hall strikes again.

Lost in OT 5-4. Kevin Hall has no business lacing up his skates ever again. That one's on him.
