This guy Kevin Myers just doesn't cut it for me. As a long time hockey fan and a BG alum, I find it astounding that we can't even have a decent ANNOUNCER let alone a decent team. Guy sounds like an ego maniac. HE NEEDS TO BE GIVEN A PINK SLIP NOW!! We are a division 1 hockey program but we have a junior varsity staff of "broadcasters"? WAKE UP AND SMELL THE MEDIOCRITY!

Haha I don't know about firing him, but the guy is a little full of himself. I personally enjoy listening to him, but I agree that he has an ego.

What did I miss? What did he say that is in question here?

I've listened to most every away game this season and I have no idea. He does a good job and has adjusted his broadcasting when fans have given him suggestions (time on clock and score more often being the biggest that I've noticed). I've never sensed an "ego" problem while listening. Hope he just keeps doing what he's been doing.

This is not meant to be a sarcastic thread. He says "a whistle stopping play" after every whistle. Yeah, Myers, I know what a whistle does in hockey. And after every time someone makes any sort of move they apparently "spin away from a check". Makes it sound like a video game and everyone is head hunting. This is college hockey, not NHL Hitz. Also he is unbearable on Twitter. I read his tweets once and couldn't even fathom following him. Does this guy have a life?!?! You're a college kid, not Doc Emerick. Maybe when your ego swells down a little bit, you can properly call a hockey game.

he's a student, not a pro. student radio guys get a chance to screw up, learn, and get better.
I like his passion for falcon hockey, and wish him success.

next year will probably be somebody else's turn as the "voice of falcon hockey", right? isn't that the way it works?
