5. 96 F Lukas Craggs (Team Illinois U18) – #2 Overall, Phase II Draft - Youngstown Phantoms – Bowling Green

I personally haven’t left a TI U18 game less than extremely impressed by Craggs. A hidden gem of a recruit for Bowling Green, Craggs, at 5’11, led the HPHL in goals (20 in 28 games), and is constantly noticeable for his work ethic, willingness to lay the body and make a play, and ability to be hard on the puck. Isn’t afraid to get under the skin of opponents and knock them off their game, but creates goal opportunities with a mix of elusiveness and a propensity to take hard routes at the crease. I wouldn’t have had Craggs in the mix for top 5 in the USHL draft to begin, but in retrospect, I love this pick.

After reading this, does this mean he'll be playing in Youngstown....or .... at BG?

Youngstown is a USHL Junior team. He will be playing there for 1 or 2 years before coming to BG.

I know you guys know the hockey deal works, but do these kids sign a LOI, like in other sports, or is this a simply a " verbal"?

LOI signings were announced this week for Craggs, Bednard, and Reichert.

Reason I questioned it was because article didn't specify LOI's, just "signings"
