Sorry for the simple questions but this is my first post in the hockey forum...although I was a senior at BG in 1983 when we won it all and did go to many games that year.
What does Final Five mean? Aren't there just four teams playing this weekend? Does it mean the final five games?
I have been looking at the Final Five stories all week and just don't understand...
Thanks!!

Re: Silly Question...
When people ask me that, I say that we can't count like the big 6. But really, before the realignment, there were eleven teams in the wcha and five teams made it to the finals, hence final five. There is probably a reason they want to keep the name...maybe they want one more team or for some historic reason, but that it my answer for you.
Bring back the glory!

The same reason B1G doesn't change their name every time they add schools...BRANDING.
