One of the most complete games of hockey I've seen us play. The second JCrewU goal was a really soft flukey goal. Really great play by the boys tonight! Great opening to the season!
Wish opener was not on Fall Break so the arena would have been packed.

What a great game! I think we outplayed them for most of the game. It was fantastic. Way to go Berg!

1st period; FANTASTIC...great energy, we controlled the play.
2nd period; Started OK, but Preppy U kicked it in gear and took over the game. We were lucky to get out of that period with the lead.
3rd period; We dominated thru MOST of the period, you could see the body language from BOTH teams near the midpoint of the 3rd...BG was realizing they were in position to win, Miami coming to grips with the reality that they might actually lose.
Miami's got some real talent, no question about it...but they seemed to lack heart (except for #9 and #16). I think it would be safe to say they have more talent than we, but...for the first time in years we are fast enough and big enough to play with them...and the OBVIOUS edge in HEART/GRIT/CHEMESTRY was ours. I was also GREATLY impressed with our decision making.
