In other news, the big ten didn't win a game today. Haha I hate them.

Chris Nell was never out of position on any of the 20 SOG he faced. Of the few good hard shots at him, he gloved them like they were nothing. Very impressive start to his BG career. Also cool that his parents made the drive down from Green Bay to see their son do his thing. His dad had something very nice to say after the game: "Everybody says it's the goalie that makes the team, but really it's the team that makes the goalie."
Some of us remember James Perkin. James and his wife came down from Nashville to see Scooter and the gang. James oversees youth hockey programs in Nashville and is loving it.

Also of note, the freshman who scored their first goals did so shorthanded, and on the powerplay.

I don't claim to be an avid BG hockey fan but I try to make it to Huntsville every year to watch them. That was the best game I have watched them play against UAH.

I was at opening night against Miami, this team looks good! Well coached too! Let's keep up the strong performances, looks like coach Bergeron is building something strong!
