FYI: The Exhibition game is on WCHA TV tonight and is free. You have sign up for an account though. Thankfully it's online tonight, as I'm sick and won't be attending in person.
GO FALCONS!!
BEAT TORONTO!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second." ~~USCHO Poster "BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got." ~~USCHO Poster, AFTER Tech beat us #NeverGiveUp

Attendance was announced at 1,792, which is more than double the 874 for last year's exhibition game. Nice to see a decent crowd for an exhibition game. Shows the excitement about the potential for this season!!
It will be interesting to see how Toronto does tomorrow night against Michigan.
GO FALCONS!!
SWEEP THE SCHMUCKS!!!!

Saw a lot of good things tonight, even if the score was a lot closer than what I'd have liked, but keeping in mind Toronto isn't a bunch of pushovers. They took western to the wire last year, lost in OT.
Team speed has definitely increased. PP looked sharp also. Thought Bayliss looked like he's going to come in as advertised. Can't wait to head down to Columbus friday!
It sure didn't look like a team motivated by 0.002. Hopefully it's just shaking off the cobwebs. It was a good exhibition game for the coach. Lots of coachable moments throughout the game.

And UAA got shut out by Mt. Royal. ouch.
not much worried by the exhibition sloppies, but I'll feel better if Toronto sticks it to the Weasels tonight.

A lot of experimenting is done by the coaches in the exhibition games. Line combos, goalies, etc. As a result you won't always see a blowout and/or a win. While entertaining, its primary purpose is for the coaches to see how the new players look in a game situation and how well they gel with different line mates. I expect to see a different team this coming weekend due to the knowledge the coaches gained from the exhibition game as well as it being the first week of full practices.
That was, by far, the best crowd I have seen at an exhibition game, btw! It was bigger than most regular season games from a few years back! Kudos to the students for coming out in force!
