Is 3-1-1 what most expected? I felt after sweeping OSU we would be able to take 2 more wins out of the next 3 games, but a win and a tie is not a bad result for me.

The fact that we are expecting more wins is a good thing. It's a sign of where the program is at and where its going.

Having seen all but one of their games (I missed the WMU game... stupid work), I felt like 3-1-1 was a bit of a letdown. But then I remind myself how young this team actually is, and how early it is, and just getting everything to mesh takes time. RIT wasn't a bad team, and the atmosphere was an amazing plus for the home team.

3-1-1 is a positive start.

Of course we'd all love to be 5-0 but a 3-1-1 start with that cluster of games isn't bad at all. Now that the team will get a full couple weeks of practice before the WCHA kicks in you should start seeing some of that progress from the younger guys.

Its about what I expected. Have seen way too many sky high expectations for this year. The team is still very young, and we haven't played particularly well on defense, which may well be an on going struggle this year. I've said before, and still believe, we could very well have a season like last year. Competing for the WCHA title and a NCAA berth, but with some letdowns and struggles. One difference though, so far Tech and Mankato look a little down from last year, could be helpful in the final five. Getting Baylis back this weekend or next should help.
