Right now we have a 1-0 lead, thanks to Mark Friedman. 10:22 left in the first period.

End of the first, BG leads 1-0. 1:44 left on a powerplay for NMU to start the second.

BG playing with 5 D men again.

16:06 left in the second, BGSU's goal is waved off for goaltender interference. Still 1-0, us.

Absolute crap call. If it's goaltender interference, put someone in the box. Not to mention both our guys on front of the net had NMU guys hanging all over them.

End of 2, BG leads 1-0. Shots are 22-6, in favor of BG. BG has 1:28 left on the powerplay.

Goalie interference can lead to a goal being disallowed without requiring the referee to call a two minute penalty. The NCAA rulebook permits discretion in regards to the severity of the contact.
I love people who can laugh at themselves. It saves me the effort.

I only caught the last 5 minutes of the game, but from what I hear it was one of the best games the guys have played all year.

Here's our recap from tonight:

I can't tell if we're any good....our Strength of Schedule is 52 out of 60. Our record is solid, but I just don't see anything more than an average team with above avg goaltending.

Overall the WCHA doesn't have a single team in the top 20 of the Pairwise....the conference is 1-10-2 against the NCHC and 6-4-2 against the Big 10. Looking like a 1 bid league this year.

Just watched the replay of both goals waved off last night. There is nothing to wave off either goal. The contact Cooper made with goalie on the first one occurred outside the crease, while he was being checked TOWARDS the goal. Doesn't fit the definition of goaltender interference. On the second one, Spezia is tripped by a defenseman on his way to the net, which resulted in him tripping the goaltender. Again, does not fit the definition of goaltender interference, and SHOULD HAVE RESULTED IN A POWERPLAY FOR BG, along with the goal.
