BG trails early, 1-0.
We need to sweep the series. Only eight games left in the season.

Certainly had some good moments, but we hung Chris out to dry on both goals.

If we lose this series, we could drop all the way to 5th in the standings before the end of the season

That's a bad loss. Alaska only 5 pts behind us with 2 games in hand. We need to win tomorrow

Question to you guys who follow way more hockey than I. What do you see is the MAJOR problem for the Falcons. This was a team expected to win the league IIRC. Yet they seem lucky to split a weekend series almost every week.
Bty, what WAS tonite's score?

I would say one of the big problems is that they are inconsistent. Some times they play like a top level team and compete hard, other times they don't play well at all.

2-3 was the final.
Biggest problem is every game is a roller coaster. Last night, first goal went in and the team just didn't play for 10 minutes. There was bodies skating around the ice and that was about it.

Nell had the puck covered enough that the whistle should have blown on the second goal. Alaska player took it right out of his blocker hand.

We seem to play only one good game a weekend. It's not a skills problem, it's a between the ears problem. Coaching staff hasn't (well, season's nearing the end so I guess it's now officially "can't"...) figured out what the right buttons are to push. They've mixed up the lines, benched some guys, split up the goaltending duties with the same results.
I was thinking that maybe we'd turned a corner after the second Bemidji game/first Mankato game. Then we blow a two goal lead on Saturday and now this. Frustrating.

I'm beginning to think it is the "process". Doesn't seem to be effective. Maybe it's time for a new one. Different teams each year....same results.

End of 2, BG down 0-1. Shots are 20-17, BG.
I hope the tears Alaska is crying after every play don't start melting the ice.

We have to pull this game out. If we lose both these games at home we will lose the fourth seed by the end of the season. We need to come back and win this game to put some distance between us and Alaska.

With the score tied at 1, there will be a slight delay before the final 92 seconds of regulation are played. Baylis put a player THROUGH the glass.
