Future Non-Conference Slate

In his presser on Monday, Coach Bergeron mentioned these teams as potential home-and-homes in the future.
Notre Dame
Michigan
Michigan State
Ohio State
This brings me to my question: What other teams would you like to see BG add to future schedules?
I think Penn State, Wisconsin, North Dakota, Boston, and Minnesota top my list. I really want to beef up the schedule to give our guys some real competition and give u a measuring stick to see how we stack up with the rest of the country.
Let me know what you think. I'm so pumped for the season! Go Falcons.

Our non-conference schedule will always be those schools closer to home due to the amount of travel in the WCHA. If we can fill our non-conference schedule with home and home games with any of Ohio State, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Michigan, Miami, and Western Michigan I am fine. I would to see Boston College, Boston University, Minnesota, Penn State, among others, but I don't think those games are realistic due to our league travel costs. The key to any games against those teams to me is an equal amount of games home and away.

Penn state, Michigan, keep on with western and Miami and OSU. Anything fans can reasonably travel to.

UIC shut their program down in 1996. They didn't leave the CCHA, they left college hockey.

Didn't Saint Louis do they same in the mid 70's?

St. Louis was before my time as a fan so the whole thing went over my head. No winky makes the sarcasm hard to identify.

St. Louis was are big rival during my college years in the late 70's. I really looked forward for those games with the Bilikens!

Our OOC slate is going to be a rotation of OSU, MU, WMU, MSU, and probably UM going forward.
Our travel budget is too small for trips to Grand Forks and Boston.

That's a really good OOC rotation, especially if we get the B1Gs for home-and-home weekends without the 2-for-1 crapola they've been forcing on everyone.

I don't think that the 2fers have been working as well as they thought they would.

I liked the weekends when we would team up with another school and travel to an area where we could play two different teams, then the following year those schools from the other area would reciprocate. For example BG and Miami could travel to Boston and take on two of the many teams there.
It would help national ratings if all Div 1 schools made a concerted effort to play as many ooc schools in each of the other conferences.
With as few Div 1 schools as there are in hockey, I'd like to play every one over a course of several years.

While we are at it: Kent State and Michigan-Dearborn.
In all seriousness: If we could get home and homes with Miami, Western Michigan, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Michigan, and Michigan State every season, that would be perfect in my mind.
