Just hoping it's not a repeat of last year. Good, clean game. No injuries, no suspensions.

Not a very crisp second period in our part. Though we did miss an empty net late in the period.

I didn't get to see the game but followed on the tweeter machine... what's with all the penalties? New points of emphasis from the zebras?

It's the WCHA. Don't think there's much more that can be explained.

A few Laurier guys were next to us going "WTF?" on some of the interference calls. Yeah...welcome to WCHA refs.

I will say I was glad to see the linesman step in and call the major. It's sad that neither referee saw it, but it was a call that I hope is consistently made all year. Two hands, between the shoulder blades, into the boards.

The referee that was closest to the play had to turn his head to keep from getting hit with a high stick. I'm sure that's why he didn't see it.

Hopefully the refs stop screwing BG. Probably would have a couple more National Championships if it weren't for the refs!

I thought we looked decent overall. I think we were clearly the better team talent-wise, but that wasn't what I was going to evaluate our performance on.
The young guys looked solid. Inexperienced, for sure, but I like their level of speed and competitiveness. And the goaltending was pretty outstanding. Overall, I would grade it as a solid B.
Lots of room for improvement. Time to drop the puck already!
