BG returns to the Slater Family Ice Arena this weekend for a conference series against the Alaska Anchorage Seawolves. Friday's game begins at 7:37, while Saturday's White Out puckdrop is scheduled for 7:07pm. This is a weekend where we MUST get all 6 points in order to keep pace with the top of the conference, and considering the opponent, anything less would be a major letdown.
Anchorage is 2-16-4 on the season. However, they are coming in off their second win of the season, which was this past Saturday night against UAH by a score of 2-1, so they may have a little bit more momentum than they would have otherwise.
They are dead-last in the PairWise rankings (60/60), and they have the least wins in the country by 2 whole games. This is a team we must defeat. It's time for BG to finally be consistent enough for an entire weekend and get a sweep against a clearly inferior team.

I'm hoping we have two well-attended, well-played games this weekend. Attendance has been down this year, so we could really use a boost this weekend.
I'm also hoping we have at least one game where we break through and put up 5+ goals, if not both games.
These are TWO, MUST-WIN games for us. Let's get it done, Falcons!

Feels like a trap weekend coming off the NMU series. These teams always scare me because they have nothing to lose.

Bergeron hopes the guys are pissed after last weekend. I hope they're determined and focused so they play like they know how. Not making stupid mistakes because they're too focused on being pissed instead of playing.

I'm pretty happy with the effort tonight. Glad we chased Mantha early and got the crowd really into it, but felt like we took the foot off the gas down the stretch in the 3rd. Gotta put together another strong performance tomorrow night!

Women's team lost in basketball. Men blew a 15 pt lead and lost. Only fitting the hockey team continue the losing trend.
