A little in-state action is coming up this weekend. Our Falcons are up to #15 in the country and Ohio State is currently #4. Friday night's game is in Columbus, and the Buckeyes will be in our barn on Saturday night. Both games will begin shortly after 7pm, and they're HUGE games. Ohio State went to the Frozen Four last year, so this is a great measuring stick series for our program.

Saturday night's game is an Orange Out, so wear your orange and pack the place with us! The athletic department is reporting that there are less than 200 reserved tickets remaining, so don't wait to purchase - it may just be a sell-out!

Goaltender Comparison:

OSU
#30 Sean Romeo - 3.53 GAA, .865 SV%, 1-1-0
#37 Tommy Nappier - 0.50 GAA, .984 SV%, 2-0-0

BGSU
#35 Ryan Bednard - 1.25 GAA, .945 SV%, 4-0-0
#31 Eric Dop - 3.09 GAA, .893 SV%, 0-1-0

Recent results against Ohio State, since 2013-2014:

2017-2018: Did Not Play
2016-2017: L 5-4 (H), L 6-1 (A)
2015-2016: W 6-3 (A), W 2-0 (H)
2014-2015: L 3-2 (H), W 3-2 (A)
2013-2014: W 4-3 (H), L 5-3 (A)

2-2-0 on the road, 2-2-0 at home.

Recently, this series has been as even as it gets, and I’m looking forward to taking on the #4 team in the country this weekend, especially with them coming to our building on Saturday night. Looking forward to seeing everyone there in their #OrangeOut gear!

Looks like BOTH games this weekend are available on FloHockey. Less than 200 bench reserved seats available for Saturday night.

No excuse for Saturday to not sell out. None.

Ohio State football is off. Michigan football is off. No other BG sports are home at the same time, though volleyball plays at 5:00pm. No Friday night high school football conflict.

This is the complete focus of Northwest Ohio sports on Saturday night. Gotta absolutely pack the place with orange.

The Walleye are home against Fort Wayne which is typically a sellout in Toledo, so there will be a little competition for hockey Saturday evening. I agree that the Slate should absolutely be sold out.

From what I can tell, both games will be streamed on FloHockey for a fee.

Big Ten Network Friday has a volleyball doubleheader listed. They won't travel to a non big ten team to televise on Saturday.

Slater Family Ice Arena South..........Bring your Orange ALL weekend. Driving down after work. I think your going to get near capacity both nights. It may actually be more crowded Saturday night then Friday night, their place is bigger is the only reason.

Telling weekend.

Let's bust some nuts this weekend................. :smt021

Roll Along.....see you all in that "city down south" tonight and then in the friendly confines of the Ice Arena Saturday. Hide the women and children, it's going to get rowdy.

No Varsity Club pre-game here.
Just hope to be parked by 6:45, these 7pm start Friday games are killer for those with JOBs.

Currently working 7-7, 7 days a week means no games for me. Was able to make Tuesday's game because I was able to leave work early, but Wednesday's 4AM alarm sucked.

I officially have a job in Chicago that I commute to weekly but am a work-from-home in Cbus on Fridays. Didn't want anyone to think I was sucking on the gov't teat just yet.

See you in the arena.

The athletic department is urging fans to arrive early tomorrow, as there are less than 220 total tickets available and they are anticipating the place being packed.

So get there early tomorrow night!
