This afternoon, the new USCHO poll was revealed and our Falcons are now #10 in the country.
A fun trip out west is on tap this weekend as we travel to Anchorage to take on the Seawolves (1-5-1). They're not very good, so we should view this as an opportunity to conduct our first weekend sweep of the year. The time difference and travel will be difficult for our boys to adjust to, but this is the type of thing that a championship-level team will overcome. I would guess that we will see at least one game out of Eric Dop between the pipes on this trip, but you never know. Coach seems to be riding Bednard's hot hand recently, so he could play both this weekend.

Any updates on Schilling? Heard he was seen in the bars on Saturday evening in a sling.

Love-all after 2. I'm regretting staying up late.

Tie to the team who finished with all of 4 wins last season. Pairwise watching just got painful.

I still say BG needs access to an Olympic sheet of ice for series like this.

All new hype, but still same results. Make all the excuses you want about the size of ice or travel. Good teams don't complain or blame, and good teams beat who your supposed to beat. We're not supposed to tie. Pairwise will be painful to watch and at this rate will be lucky to hang inside the top 20 by Christmas break.
Dopp did his job, and team that averages 5 goals a game can't put 1 in on a team with 0 wins. Pathetic. I'm hoping we learn from this and rattle off about 10 to 15 Ws in a row. Robert Morris, now this. Breakfast won't even taste good this morning.....

Tough way to play last night. This team has all the tools, now it's time to execute. We can't afford ties against bad teams.
I expect a win tonight. 5 out of 6 points is, all things considered, a solid weekend.

Tying with Anchorage will cost us 2-4 spots in pairwise by the end of the season. This weekend is already a disaster from an NCAA tourney perspective.

I didn't stay up with the game, but I see we won 3-0. Two straight shutouts is nice no matter the opponent. Good to see Dop and Bednard each grab a shutty this weekend.
Connor Ford (x2) and Lukas Craggs had the goals in Game 2.
Big series with Lake Superior State on tap this weekend back at home. Let's fill the place for these boys and keep the early season momentum going!

It could be worse.........
Northern, supposed to be a better team in the league, just got swept by Cornel and Lake Superior went 0-1-1 at Home verse the other Alaska.
Northern could of helped the league out and we get a team that has to regroup and refocus next weekend in LSS.

Good series shutting them out for 125 minutes! I will say everyone is going to take some upsets so a tie is not something I’m going to get too let down with especially with the strength of the conference this year. Lake Superior looks awfully strong this season
