BG is back home this weekend against Ferris State after their weekend split in Fairbanks. Ferris was off last week but they've struggled mightily this year and the rumors are flying that Bob Daniels is on the hot seat. BG will hopefully be getting some bodies back this week as L. Craggs, Bednard, Linkenheld and Cullen all missed the UAF series.
2018 head-to head results:
12/7 at Ferris 3-3 T (BG wins SO 1-0)
12/8 at Ferris BG wins 4-3 (OT)
Season stats:
BGSU 16-6-3 (11-5-2-2 WCHA)
Ferris State 6-17-1 (3-12-1-0 WCHA)

Crappy team. We'll find a way to split.

I'll be following on Flo on Friday night, and then I'll be in the house Saturday night before student move back in on Sunday. I'm hoping for a pretty full building as we look for wins #17 and 18 on the year.

Pretty sure Saturday's game is on WBGU?

It's not listed that way on the athletic department's website, but it's on the schedule on WBGU's site, so I would assume yes.

@BGSU_Hockey just tweeted that L Craggs is lined up with Johnson and Kruse tonight.

It wasn't always pretty but a win is a win. Dop played really well between the pipes, and he got his 2nd shutout in a row.
Let's finish the sweep tomorrow night.

Lose 3-0 tonight. Absolutely a killer. 4th straight weekend with a split. BG will need to win the WCHA tournament to make the tournament.

Lots of wasted potential with this team. There's no reason other than lack of motivation that they aren't a top ten lock for the tournament. Maybe they'll get hot in the conference playoffs, maybe not. Either way they've pissed away what could have been an awesome regular season

Top ten lock potential? Outside of OSU’s goalie having a complete meltdown and beating Mankato without their head coach, there isn’t much on the resume.
I agree the team has the ability to win the WCHA tournament, but we aren’t anywhere near a legitimate national contender. Haven’t been close since probably when Holzinger played here.

What's frustrating about tonight's game is how it really went down. We pretty much dominated every aspect of the game besides scoring. We carried play in the first, but they got a goal with 35 seconds left. We were pretty even in the 2nd, but we couldn't tie it up. We carried most of the third, but they got another, plus an empty netter. For the life of us, we couldn't find the back of the net. At some point, the offense has to wake up. I'm praying it happens next weekend in Marquette, but I'm not holding my breath. We've become far too passive, and it's leading us to lose games we have no business losing.
17-7-3 is an impressive record, but it means nothing if it doesn't end with a trophy or with this town still following this team after March 23.
Go Falcons. Beat NMU.
