After a pair of wins in Anchorage, our Falcons (7-4-0) will be home to take on the Lake Superior State Lakers (4-10-0). Both games are slated for an 7:07pm EST puck drop. Each game this weekend will be available to stream on FloHockey. You can also listen to Ryan Vallon on the radio call, or follow @BGFalconHockey on Twitter for updates throughout the game. It would be great if we could pull in a great November crowd for this classic rivalry game.
This feels like a tougher series than it might be. They entered the year with expectations, but they have failed to live up to those so far. They are on a 4 game losing streak, so they are going to fighting hard to end that schneid. It would be extremely beneficial if we could get 2 solid wins this weekend.
Projected Goaltender Stats:
BGSU
Jr. Eric Dop... GAA - 2.19, SV% - .914, 7–3-0
LSSU
Jr. Mareks Mitens... GAA - 3.52, SV% - .874, 4-8-0
Let’s grab another pair of wins this weekend. Go Falcons!

The Lakers gave up 56 goals in 14 games. They currently lead the nation in goals allowed. Their PK is at 78%. However, their goaltender is pretty good; their defense is questionable.
By the numbers this should be a sweep. But we all know why they play the games...

For whatever reason we always seem to struggle playing LSSU. Hopefully the team won't go into this weekend thinking that the games are automatic wins.

Agree. These are the games a Mike Hastings-coached team doesn't lose. This stretch of the schedule (8 straight league games against teams in the bottom half of the conference with the Domers thrown in for good measure) is as much a test for the coaches as it is for the players.

2-0 after 1. Dop has come up big a couple of times including stopping a breakaway.

3-0 after 2. Wright is en fuego this year.

Nice 5-0 win! We’re rolling right now, up to 8-4-0 on the season. Now, let’s get the sweep Saturday night!

Officiating was horrendous. Make up calls (which I hate) left and right. R#24 waited way too long after everything he called to raise his arm as if he was considering whether he should change the course of the game or not. Just call the damn game straight. Also way too many penalties on both sides for what was a relatively clean played game.

Anybody got a link to Eigner’s post game presser last night? I can’t find one anywhere.

I don't think I've ever seen a ref call a penalty on a player, then change his mind and pull him out of the box. And that happened TWICE Saturday night...

Didn’t convert on of the 5 min pp in the 3rd Down 2-1. That was their chance to bail themselves out despite having played a below avg game.

100% Agree.......
With a B- effort at best could of still mustarded enough juice out of that 5 minute major to get a W. Heck, we had trouble keeping it in the offensive zone at times.
The major concerning point is the 2 - 4 record on Saturday night, and 0 - 3 at Home (Huntington Center game counts as a home game since we hosted, as I've been told).

Probably pedantic, but the Ice Breaker games were neutral site.
