After taking 5 of 6 points from UAH, our Falcons (11-5-1) will head to the Upper Peninsula to battle the Lake Superior State Lakers (5-14-1). Both games are slated for an 7:07pm EST puck drop. We split the series with them here in Bowling Green a few weeks ago, winning 5-0 and losing 3-1, and they haven't won since that game. You can be sure that this team will come out clawing for a win before the holidays at home. It's an important series for us if we are to keep pace with the top of the WCHA.

Frustrating night last night. Wish I felt good about this upcoming series.

BG has jumped to #10 in the country in the USCHO poll, and we remain steady at #7 in the PairWise rankings with 1 series to go before Christmas break.

Yeah, it's still too early and we have plenty of opportunities to blow this, starting with this weekend. But getting good press at any point in the season is not a bad thing. Currently a #2 seed in Worcester. I'm still amazed that at this point in the season the WCHA has 3 teams in the conversation.

These guys really need to get a sweep this weekend...but as they say in twelve-step programs: One day (or game) at a time.

It would take a full blown collapse from BG to not make the tourney. Yes it’s early, but the quality wins will make up for occasional losses to terrible WCHA teams.

Half the conference is in the top 30 for PWR (MSU, BG, Tech, BSU, NMU, UAF), the rest is in the bottom 20% (LSSU, FSU, UAA, UAH). Avoid losses to the bottom 20% and at best split vs. the rest and BG is probably in good shape. The WCHA is deep this year so BG's non-conference slate has greatly helped them.

It was 0-0 after one, and Max Johnson scored on the powerplay to give BG the lead with about 6 left in the 2nd.

At the time of this post, it's 1-0 Falcons.

Lake Superior isn't even being shy about the clutch and grab. Can we trade them for Huntsville in the new league? Clutch, grab, trap.... Boring.

This game would be a lot different if half of BG's shots didn't miss the net.
