Huntsville recommendations
Hey all, my fiancé surprised me for my birthday with tickets to see BG play at Huntsville in a couple of weeks, so we're making the short drive down there for the weekend. Has anyone been there before? Any suggestions on where to go, what to eat, etc?

I'll post your question on USCHO. The UAH guys will have some recommendations.drumstix2388 wrote:Hey all, my fiancé surprised me for my birthday with tickets to see BG play at Huntsville in a couple of weeks, so we're making the short drive down there for the weekend. If you have time and are so inclined, eat at Big Bob Gibson's BBQ in Decatur. . .

Go to the NASA Space Museum. It is expensive, but I thought it was very interesting.drumstix2388 wrote:Hey all, my fiancé surprised me for my birthday with tickets to see BG play at Huntsville in a couple of weeks, so we're making the short drive down there for the weekend. The Corvette museum in BG KY...right on the way...is worth a stop.

If you like arty stuff, Lowe Mill Arts is interesting. Be advised there's a comiccon that weekend. https://lowemill.art/

Thanks, all! Will definitely try to check out some of this stuff. I'm in Nashville, so I won't be going through BGKY, but I've been to the Corvette museum before, right after the sinkhole opened up.

I live close to Birmingham and go to these games every year. That said it’s about the only time I ever spend anytime in Huntsville. It’s a very fast growing area for engineers and tech but things to do side of things hasn’t caught up to that growth yet, Other than the obvious NASA answer we have some really nice golf courses if you get lucky with the weather that weekend.

Good to know! I'll throw the clubs in my car. Say hello if you see me around at the arena. I think we're going to make it to both games. I'll be in a vintage looking BG hockey jersey.kdog27 wrote:I live close to Birmingham and go to these games every year. That said it’s about the only time I ever spend anytime in Huntsville. Re: Huntsville recommendations
A group of us are heading down for the weekend. We try and hit one new road venue every year. Last year we went to Marquette and had a blast. Looks like lots of great breweries in Huntsville and going to stop in Nashville on the way down.
