Our Falcon hockey team (2-0-0) has moved up to #18 in the nation in this week's USCHO poll.

We have a little off stretch, and then we ride into Pittsburgh to take on Robert Morris (2-0-0) on Tuesday, December 1st at 7:05pm. The Colonials are busy this weekend, with 2 games vs. Canisius.

They hosted Huntsville twice this past weekend, skating to 5-2 and 4-3 wins. This feels like a game we should win, but you never know - and they were receiving the 2nd most votes of the unraked teams, so it could be a battle.

Ultimately, it's a nice opportunity for us to grab a road win after the holiday. I hope we take advantage of the situation.

Bad defense early. RMU gets 2 early goals.

We traveled on the day of the game, and we look like it.

RMU leads 2-0 halfway through the first.

Doesn't help that these officials seem to think they're calling a basketball game...

Cameron Wright flips one up stickside on the power play, and the Falcons cut the lead in half.

2-1 RMU, 2:00 left in the 1st.

Some jerk from RMU wrecks Max into the boards pretty late and there's no penalty initially, but the kid eventually gets the gate with a 5-minute major.

That was an ugly, dirty play. Felt like they were headhunting one of our best players.

Well, BG is back. Cullen knots it at 2 with 14 seconds left in the first period, and we stole the momentum back.

There will be 4 more minutes on the major PP when the 2nd period starts.

END OF 1: BG 2, RMU 2

Quite the first period. Played a lot better the last 8-9 min. Tied up with 4 min PP left on the major to start the second.

There were 7 total penalties in the first period. Wasn't pretty to watch.

Would love to see us get another one on this major PP early in the 2nd.

For sure - I had been a little worried, as he was very slow to get up after the hit he took.

RMU killed the rest of the penalty, but BG was buzzing around the net, and Kruse buries a nice shot from close range to push us ahead, 3-2.

And The Captain, Connor Ford, adds a tally in his hometown off a pass from Gavin Gould.
