vs. LSSU (11/19-11/20)
Our Falcons (5-3-2) return home this weekend to take on the Lake Superior State Lakers (7-6-1) in CCHA play. Game 1 will be on Friday at 7:37pm, with Game 2 following on Saturday at 7:07pm. Both games will be available to stream through FloHockey.
Both teams enter following sweeps at the hands of teams in Minnesota (though LSSU's came at home), and Lake Superior has lost 3 straight games, so both squads will be looking to regain their footing this weekend. It's only right that we give it our best shot at home.
Go Falcons! Beat LSSU!

Looked good the first 6 min. Some grade A chances that didn’t go in. 0-0 at the first intermission.

End of Two, Falcons are up 2-0.
It was scoreless through 36 minutes, but BG nets 2 in the final 4 minutes to take the lead going into the final frame.
Goals from Norris and Malmstrom.

While there were times when we played like crap, I though we were the better team tonight. I think the PP needs some work. A lot of time when there was nobody in front of the net.
Good win.

LSSU is very aggressive on their penalty kill. 46/87 on faceoffs. Norris with 4 points. Scardina with 3 points. Rose was solid when needed, which didn't seem very often. Overall, a pretty good night of hockey.TalonsUpPuckDown wrote: ↑Sat Nov 20, 2021 3:21 am While there were times when we played like crap, I though we were the better team tonight. I’ll take a 5-1 win.
Another opportunity tonight - looking forward to being in the building. Go Falcons!

4-2 good guys after 2 tonight. Nice to see the offense start to click this weekend.

Really nice response after getting their lunch handed to them last weekend.

Couldn't attend tonight. Based on what I saw last night, this is not the same team that played against St Thomas. Something happened in Mankato that seems to have made this team a better TEAM. Hopefully we can continue to see that progress.jpfalcon09 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 21, 2021 2:38 am Really nice response after getting their lunch handed to them last weekend.

Really nice 6-2 win tonight. Attendance was a little over 2600, and we in the building had a good time.
Who would have guessed this team would be 7-3-2 at this point?! They’re a fun group to watch.

Good bounce back weekend…still wouldn’t get too excited until they do something in the 2nd half. Schedule gets tougher in December and then the regular season finishes with a more difficult stretch. It is really weird how the poor 2nd half record has carried over almost every year.

Great weekend of hockey! Two dominating wins and I’ve noticed this team has quite a bit of shooting ability. Very impressed by Swankler as well
