Crap, it's bye week. What a f'ing idiot.
Edit: It's not like I run the pick 'em contest or anything where I'm looking at the damn schedule multiple times a week. Lord help me...

The way marketing has been pushing the OSU game, I thought maybe these were canceled.

No kidding!
But to their credit, tickets for that OSU game are selling like crazy. Only 62 reserved seats remain, and we're still 2 weeks out. Should be a great crowd on the 17th.

Finally, it's game week.
Following a weekend off to rest and regroup, our Falcons (7-4-3) return home to take on the Ferris State Bulldogs (5-13-0) in CCHA action. The Bulldogs enter this series after a weekend split with Lake Superior State, losing 3-0 on Friday before battling back to a 3-1 win on Saturday. Both games are slated to begin at 7:07pm, and they will be available for broadcast through https://www.flohockey.tv/.
Defensively, Ferris allows 3.81 goals per game, while on offense, they score 2.59 goals per game.
Netminder Matchup:
Ferris State
Logan Stein, So. - 3.58 GAA, .877 SV%, 4-11-0
Roni Salmenkangas, Sr. - 4.42 GAA, .828 SV%, 1-2-0
Bowling Green
Zack Rose, So. - 3.16 GAA, .888 SV%, 5-2-2
Christian Stoever, Fr. - 2.62 GAA, .910 SV%, 2-2-1
Should be an interesting pair of contests. Go Falcons!

This should really be a sweep for BG. Hockey is a funny sport, so things don't always happen as they should, but BG has shown to me so far this season that they will be the better team on the ice.

Agree with everything you said. There are always bad/unlucky bounces in this sport, but BG seems to be the superior team and needs to play like it this weekend. For us to meet our goals this year, whatever they may be, we need 6 points and a sweep.
Looking forward to being back in the building on Friday night!

We all know what SHOULD happen. Having watched Eigner's press conference, it will definitely be an interesting series.

Has anyone heard anything on when/if Dougherty might be back. Pretty sure he was injured in the 1st game and have not seen him since??

I know he was in a boot and on crutches a few weeks ago, but I’m fairly certain he’s out of his boot now. Should *hopefully* not be too much longer. We could use his physicality as we head into the 2nd half of the season.

Defense has been out of position a lot tonight, but it’s way too easy to score on Rose.
5-3 Ferris after 2.
