I think we're in Houghton this weekend, right?

Huge road series.
I don't want home ice to come down to crazy scenarios during the final weekend, so I feel like hoping for a split here would go a long way towards helping accomplish that goal. Obviously a lot can change with us having next weekend off while other teams are still playing and moving around the standings, but we're in a position where a win this weekend does a ton of the heavy lifting towards clinching a top 4 finish and home ice in the first round in front of fans for the first time since 2018-2019, believe it or not.
And a sweep would give us a real shot at hosting a semifinal game if it came down to it, but that would be a little greedy to expect against this opponent. It remains a distinct possibility that this is not our last trip to Houghton this season...

Winter Festival this weekend in Houghton so expect a loud building. Unfortunately I believe Tech sweeps the weekend without much trouble. They're playing good hockey right now.

Definitely agree that this is the most likely outcome and we will need help following the off weekend to get home ice. We simply don't know how to make things easier on ourselves.

1-1 after 1. Falcons played well, just a poor breakdown during 4 on 4.

Is it me or is Stoever giving up more rebounds?

It's hard to tell. It feels like he is giving up a bit more rebounds, but it also feels like he has to make harder saves than usual. And with those saves you just try to make the initial save and there will probably be a rebound after.

3-1 after 2. Two goals from Fyten although the 3rd might end up credited to Pitters. Falcons have been playing an inspired game.

Well. We won! I did not expect that. We played pretty well.

Ferris just scored with 46 sec left to go up 3-2 on the Beavers.
