CCHA QUARTERFINALS: vs. Michigan Tech (3/7-9)

Folks, the postseason has arrived.
The first playoff series of the Dennis Williams era is here, and it’s a doozy - our Falcons (16-13-4) are hosting the hated Huskies from Houghton (16-15-3). Game 1 on Friday, Game 2 on Saturday, and Game 3 on Sunday, if necessary. Official game times aren’t posted yet on the BG website, but it’s safe to assume it will be the traditional 7:07, 7:07, 5:07 format. I encourage all who are able to attend the games in person (I will be there for Game 2 - just got my tickets!), but if you aren’t, certainly support the Falcons from afar by rocking your orange and brown and watching along on Midco.
In the regular season series over Thanksgiving break, Tech took Game 1 and Game 2 finished as a tie, with BG taking the shootout. Despite being at home and being the higher seed, this will be a massive challenge for us. Tech swept us in this position last year, and they went on to win the Mason Cup. This is a program that gives us fits, and I am certain that they will bring a healthy number of fans along for the series as well. With students off campus for spring break through next weekend, this is an all hands on deck situation. It’s on US to create a hell of a playoff atmosphere. So let’s go do it.
