Blake Bobbleheads already on eBay
Blake Bobbleheads already on eBay
One already had 11 bids and was up to $47. I feel bad for the people that really wanted one to keep but were unable to get one, because it's pretty obvious alot of people came in, got a bobble head, and went right home to put it on ebay. 3 or 4 were up there less than a day after the game.

As I was walking to the normal band area, another band member came up to me carrying one. I asked her if she even knew who Rob Blake was. She told me she had no clue and she was going to give it to her little brother. Between people that have no clue about Rob Blake getting bobbleheads and people selling them on Ebay, I feel bad for people who really wanted these as well.

I dont' think its too bad having someone take one home to a little brother. Afterall, if they like hockey, think Rob Blake is cool, then start liking BG because he went here, we win!McMetz811 wrote:As I was walking to the normal band area, another band member came up to me carrying one. The eBay people can still bite me, though.
I forgot to mention I was told the little brother didn't watch hockey and was only around 10 years old.TG1996 wrote: I dont' think its too bad having someone take one home to a little brother. Afterall, if they like hockey, think Rob Blake is cool, then start liking BG because he went here, we win!

I should have beat her and taken it while I could!

Man, look at the description of this auction.NY-BG-FAN wrote:One already had 11 bids and was up to $47.
"This bobblehead was given out to fans at the Bowling Green State University (Rob's former college) hockey game vs. Notre Dame on 1/28/05. Only 700 were given out making this VERY RARE. The winner will receive one in it's box never removed, not the one pictured, in MINT CONDITION! E-mail me any questions."
If he's not selling the one out of the box, he either got TWO of them or hopefully took a picture of someone elses. Either way, he should be shot. I'm glad to see there are no autographed ones up yet!!!

Blake Bobbleheads still available!!
There are still Blake bobbleheads available if you go to Huntington Bank and set up a checking account. Now we know what the price was for having them sponsor the promotion. How many people are gonna open a checking account and get one of these and have no idea as to what it even is. Especially since the gameworkers, some of whom watched Blake and Emerson play, did not even get the chance to get a bobblehead. Talk about a shady, poorly run promotion by the marketing department in athletics.....

The promotions department needs to learn something from the give-away. So many people were cutting in front of others, then people would walk in, take a bobblehead, then leave. Set up some queues (I'm thinking Cedar Point here) or hand out tickets along with the game tickets that you can use to redeem for the giveaway.
With that being said, I have my own bobblehead, and will not ever sell it.

Don't even start me on line-cutting and such... I about lost it on some jerk* in a suit from the rink on Saturday. The entire back-half of the line turned around and started to cut in front of the people who'd been waiting for an hour or so. McMetz knows what I am talking about. Man, was I ticked.*BGDrew wrote:The promotions department needs to learn something from the give-away. So people were walking in, getting a bobble head and leaving without even buying a ticket? How did THAT work?BGDrew wrote:The promotions department needs to learn something from the give-away.
