Ferris State series..on their sheet twice

Post by ffejfalcon »

I like our chances for another sweep this weekend. It will be tough but if Jordan can muster enough energy to start both games, I think we can do it. I just wish I had more confidence in our back-up goalies. Seems like every time Pooch puts one of them in, we lose....

Let's hear those predictions folks...

I agree with you about this weekend, but I will remind you that Horrell had a HELL of a game against Michigan back in December, at a time when they were among the top four teams in the country. A HELL of a game.

I agree. Horrell can stand on his head and do a damn good job at doing it. I'd actually like to see him get some PT this weekend, if we get a decent lead (4+ goals).

I really think that if Jordan can go all the way he should no matter what the circumstances. He's got a lot on the line with the Hobey and making a statement to the Bruins about his stamina. Horrell is good, but with that goalie recruit we have coming in (whose name is escaping me (help!)), it doesn't look as though he is going to be our goalie of the future. I like Horrell a lot, but I don't see any reason to needlessly get him PT. If Jordan has another attack or just becomes physically exhausted, I have a lot of confidence in him, but I'd much rather not see him at this point for Jordan's sake. Jordan has done so much for this program that I think we owe him the opportunity to make whatever kind of statement he needs to given his health circumstances.

I don't want this to be mistaken as an indictment of Horrell, though. He's very good people!

I tend to disagree Bleeding. Siggy's lead is pretty safe in the Hobey assuming the trend stays the same with voting. It isn't just BG fans that are voting for him. Goalie's need benched because they're tired (other circumstances or not). Jordan's played A LOT of games this year and we're going to need him @ 100% these last games.

Jordan will play both games

Post by Falcon Fanatic »

Jordan is doing just fine. No reason why he won't play both games this weekend. Jordan will not get pulled unless we are up by a LOT more than 4. (Remember that 3 goal lead we blew on weasel ice?)

GO FALCONS!!
SWEEEEEEP THE BULLDOGS!!!

BG 3 FSU 2
BG 4 FSU 1

JORDAN FOR HOBEY!!!

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Jordan will play both games, UNLESS:

He has an attack, OR
we're up 6-1 or something going into the 3rd period tonight...then we may see Horrel or Frazee, just to get one of them some experience.

Did anyone see the article on INCH about last weekend's 'goal judge controversy' at Ferris? FSU was down 3-1 to Miami, but came back to tie it up at 3 near the end of the second period. The goal judge not only turned on the light, but was enthusiasticly clapping and pounding on the glass. Miami coach Blaisi went nuts (imagine that). Ref (Shegos) looked at a video replay, confirmed that the goal was good, THEN DISMISSED THE GOAL JUDGE, AND HAD HIM REPLACED. That must have been a HOOT to watch.

Gotta go now, I just completed by daily duty (VOTE SIGGY FOR HOBEY), and the car-pool to Big Rapids is getting ready to shove off.
