Friday Night vs. WMU

Post by BGDrew »

The crowd was loud, but empty. I'm going to attest some of that being a Friday game. Also, there really wasn't any give-aways or incentives for the students.

The one goal Jordan gave up was pretty soft. He looked right for the puck and before he looked the correct way the lamp was lit. Other than that he played a great game stopping 27 shots I think.

Anybody who listened on the radio, is Unger out tomorrow for his game misconduct?

Good win, good play, sweep tomorrow!

Sat. nite hockey

Post by Class of 61 »

Looking forward to my 1st college hockey game of the year tomorrow...Part of the alum party deal we received... Hope that Jordan will play both nites....since the MS thing has been featured this weekend, I'll assume he'd try to play if at all possible....

I've seen the Cleve. Barons about 5-6 times this yr. thanks to season tix owned by a friend...one win in all that time...so I hope my luck will change on Sat. nite...

I dunno about you guys but I had a blast tonight! Even though the crowd was small they were loud and REALLY into the game! I loved the "Ho-bey Ba-ker" cheer :-D AND how loud everyone cheered for our team during the introductions! Beside the win tonight... I was damn proud to be a falcon at tonight's game! I'm bringing my sign tomorrow night so everyone should be there to see it!!!!!

Sweep the Broncos.... twice ;-)

Eppler was packed for Gymnastics breaking the all-time BG team score! Blame them for the lack of a hockey crowd :P

Be careful Mike, some may get upset because this wasn't posted in the "Women's Sports" forum. Even though it was an incredible meet.

The high school hockey team also played tonight in a playoff game. That also had an effect on the attendance numbers.

GREAT WIN!!!
SWEEEEEEEEP 'EM!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

awesome game... other than that cheap goal western scored, it was all BG all the time. hopefully they can come out with the same intesity tomorrow night.

and as far as the "hobey baker" chant was concerned... i don't think too many of the fans understood it. the marketing department has not done enough to educate the fans about the significance of what jordan is doing. it seemed like 20% of us actually knew what the chant was about. it's sad when our captain has not gotten the attention he deserves...

anyways... GO HOCKEY!!! SWEEP THE BRONCOS!!!!

Unger should be a go tomorrow night. The box score listed it as a game misconduct not a game DQ. DQ's result in a one game suspension and misconducts don't, I believe...
