"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

FF, if you wake up with a headache one day and find that Falcon missing, I had NOTHING to do with it! :D

Awesome mother's day present! Lord knows you deserve it!

That's awesome! I see one of those in the bookstore everytime I go in there and have always wanted one. I wish he looked more like Freddie but hey, it's still Falcon awesome! I love your dog's name, too :D

They got it at the bookstore uptown. I am still trying to picture BGFan carrying that thing down the street!!! He said he got some really funny looks!!! They had it covered with a bunch of blankets when I got home from working the graduations. I truly about lost it when I figured out what that HUGE thing was hiding under them!!!! Hobey, however, was not so impressed!! He kept barking and howling at it that first day! I am surprised we got this picture with him actually sitting next to it!!! (And for you Star Wars Fans, his full name is Hobey Wan Kenobi.)

First of all - the dog's name: BRILLIANT.

Secondly, BGFan needs a serious round of applause - that sucker's a heavy mo-fo. We have one for work we put in the Nest when there is a big spirit event coming up. I'm one of three people able to carry him, so props to BGFan, cause I know what he's feelin'. ;)

Roger Thibault, an Associate Dean in Arts and Sciences, his wife makes different outfits for theirs.

I've got a smaller one that stands about two feet tall that I take out on recruiting trips with me. I think the Canadian authorities thought I was a little peculiar when I show up at the border with little Freddie sitting in the passenger seat as we crossed over to recruit in Toronto one October. Thankfully, one of them was a BG hockey fan, so he let me enter after holding me for ten minutes and talking about Greg day.

Neat story!! I love hearing any hockey-related story!! I think it would be neat to make outfits for my Fred, but I hate doing that kind of stuff....you know domestic type things!! (And NO COMMENTS from BGFan allowed!! 8) )

I dunno - thats kind of like putting outfits on those geese people have in their front yards. Slightly pretentious if you ask me, but if people like them, it's not my place to stop them.

The College of Arts and Sciences uses theirs at their table for Preview Days and Presidents' Day. I think they put a Hawaiian floral shirt on him for Presidents' Day this past February.

Last year at the December Preview Day, Freddie Falcon stood still by the stuffed one and would then jump out and scare people that were looking at the two birds. It was a riot to watch.

That must have been great to watch! I am sure many people went away talking about it!! Cool that they are using them that way!! Great recruiting tool!!
