Who does everyone think will be the top 3 forwards and top 2 defense on the team including incoming freshman. List the amount of points you think they will get as-well.

The top 3 forwards will, no doubt, be the same as they were last year. Matsumoto, Foster, and Pilkington. I expect greater production from Matsumoto and Foster given the amount of maturing that happens between the Freshman and Sophomore year as opposed to the Junior and Senior year. We actually have 4 forwards with very similar point production returning from last year.

Matsumoto - 28 goals 22 assist
Foster - 20 goals 30 assists
Pilkington - 10 goal 30 assists

Unger is a hard one to leave out of this list. He could very easily be number 2 or 3.

I'll pick 1 offensive and 1 defensive defenseman just to keep it even. That would be Jonathan Sigalet and John Sitko. Sigalet's point production will go up by at least 10 - 15 points and Sitko will keep laying out players on the other team. Points wise I'll give Sigalet 10 goals and 20 assists due to his position on the PP. Sitko's point total may go up, but not by much. Maybe 3 goals and 7 assists.

30 points from a d-man is defintely quite a feat, while I am not taking anything away from him, the points he has had in the previous two seasons do not lead me to believe that he will be able to attain 30 points this year.

BGFan took the words right out of my mouth. We got an excellent frosh class, but we're not playing small hockey anymore, we need guys who are ready for the NHL.

well Foster got an invite to the washington capitals prospect camp, is that good enough for being ready for the NHL?

It's been done on more than one occasion at BG. Both Blake and Paluch come to mind. Jonathon had a lot going on last year with the announcemnt of Jordan's MS. I think that he's going to settle down this year and light it up a bit.

I think it will be interesting to see how Jonathan plays without Jordan being in net. Those two seem to be inseperable, so I'm really wondering if that's a comfort thing for Jonathan.

My guess is, he'll be fine. These last two years is the only time that Jordan and Jonathon ever played together. If anything, it may be less of a distraction for Jonathon.

This could be very true. I think Jonathan was often in "protection" mode when it came to anyone getting too rough around the net near Jordan. Jonathan's game will most likely step it up a bit this year. Last year had to be a VERY tough one for a kid who is still pretty young. A lot to deal with, that he handled quite well!!!

Sigalet will not get 30 points this year period. I will be surprised if he will leven be on his the first powerplay this year.

The kid has the skating skills to score 30, he just needs to get his wrists there too. Given his talent, I think it is a very doable task for him.

Don't write him off so soon.

Given his projected draft status I'd say the experts disagree with your assessment. Sigalet will be fine.
