Which of course means there's a decent chance he could end up playing with his brother again. :D

I don't follow the NHL real close but what does this mean:

Career Transactions

Boston's sixth selection (seventh round), 219th overall, at the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.

Jordan was the Bruins' 7th round selection in 2001, their sixth pick of the draft, and the 219th player taken in that year's draft.

Favorite way to confuse a non-hockey hockey fan: explain the NHL draft.

Maybe I'M the one that's confused now, but how is the NHL draft any more confusing than other drafts? :?

I had a brainfart, is my explanation.

brainfarts happen. I was wondering more about the "confusing a non-hockey fan" part. The NHL draft is certainly no more confusing than say, the MLB draft where they're also drafting guys that may not play for you for 3 or 4 years, if at all, and MLB's draft has like 273 rounds to it.

Unfortunately, that also means more of a chance that he'll leave early.

Not necessarily. Jordan hasn't even signed with Boston yet, though that may happen soon. He also could get traded just as quick, as often happens in the minors, where Jordan expects to begin his pro career. I would be surprised if Jonathan left early; much will depend on how this year goes for him and the team as a whole.

Congrats, Jonathan!!!

Not too many players drafted sign right away. Take big siggy and Montoya, they were both drafted a few years ago and stuck it out with their current teams. I look for little siggy to be around atleast another year, if not 2.

You mean they've pared it down from 334 rounds?

At any rate, congratulations to Jonathan!! I wasn't around a computer during the draft so I had a friend call me to give me updates and now every single person that was at the Sea Ketch restaurant in Hampton, NH knows that Jonathan went to Boston because I shouted quite exuberantly when she told me :D
