Brian Holzinger to be inducted in the BGSU Hall of Fame

Post by Falcon Fanatic »

CONGRATULATIONS, BRIAN!!!!

I think BGFan and I will be going to the induction ceremony!! The only other one we have attended was when the '84 National Championship team was inducted. THAT was REALLY neat to go to!!!

Congrats to the other five athletes as well!!!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Congrats, Brian! One of my friends down here in Green was good friends with Brian at BGSU. Angelo Fortunato, played Rugby at BG. I'll have to let him know.

Stupid question Freak: I don't know Angelo, but unfortunately being from the Greater Akron area, that name sounds really familiar. NO, he is not one of the infamous ex's & y'all can refrain from making stupid comments about me knowing rugby players. But don't the Fortunatos own some Italian restaurants near there?

INB,
It's a pretty popular name around the Akron area...I'd have to ask Angelo about that.
Why is it unfortunate you're from this area? Seems like a pretty cool place to live.

Really, I'm kidding. I don't despise Akron even though it sounds like I do. I think I was just destined to live in Dallas. My dad moved here when I was in HS, & I fell in love with the place then. It also didn't hurt that I married a Texan.

I still have family in OH, but I never go visit them (they come to me b/c they love Dallas too)!

Akron=okay
Dallas=rocks!!!!

But eat a Skyway or Swenson's burger for me. I love those things!
