Both Jordan and Jonathan are having great camps at Boston. As I type this the Bruins are having their annual Black vs White intrasquad scrimmage. Jordan and Jonathan were both placed on the Black squad. In fact, Jonathan has scored the only goal for the Black team so far through the first period. He scored at 10:03 on a PP. Not sure if Jordan's got any action so far, but so far so good!

Way to go both Siggys. I had to laugh though. I know it isn't nice to make fun of people's names but if you check the white team's lineup, one of their player's name is Wacey Rabbit!!!

No Joke.

Jordan and Jonathan are still on the Bruins squad so far.
Jordan is one of 4 goalies left on the pro squad while 2 other goalies were re-assigned to Providence.
Jonathan also made the first round of cuts, and is one of 13 defensemen still on the training camp roster.

Pretty much what I expected, but shows that the Siggy's had a relatively decent showing to last past the first round of transactions.
Might have to pull for both the Bruins and Jackets this year if either of them get called up.

I've been following the camp pretty closely and I know Jordan played well. I haven't heard much about Jonathan specifically, but then the defensemen haven't been hitting the news wires either, so that's not much of a surprise. There was another kid who was having an excellent camp, but they sent him down in that round of eight as well.
Completely random: the one goalie that the Bruins signed, Tim Thomas, was on my flight last week. Weird, huh?

I guess the move to Providence was to be expected at this time.
For what it's worth, Providence plays at Hartford on New Year's Eve. Any BG fans planning to make the trip to the U-Conn tourny Dec 29-30 ought to plan to stick around an extra night.

I just saw in today's paper that the NY Rangers sent Al Montoya to Hartford. This makes the above mentioned game even more fun.
PS...ONO's Chris Holt is Hartfords's other goalie.

Dunno if anyone's been following Providence's camp, but they got slaughtered in their first preseason game 8-0.
The good news is that Jordan wasn't in net. Mike Ayers started the game and Mike Brown played the third.
This is pure speculation on my part (it's not like I've talked to Providence's coach or anything) but I'm guessing that they're looking at Brown and Ayers to decide who to cut. Ayers is on a tryout and Brown is elligible to be sent to his junior team.

Hopefully you're right McConvey. Jordan at least deserves a shot.

I just logged on to the Providence Bruins website to see what was up, and guess who's picture is featured in the upper left quarter of the page? Clue, he's a goalie, wears #57, and all you can see of his chin guard is "GGY"
Better look quick...I don't know how often they change this page.

Cool stuff. I'm gonna miss seeing his Falcon helmet. That was a great paint job!

I think Jordan actually designs his own helmets.

That's actually the second on-ice picture they've had of him. I liked the first one better, it was straight-on, not from an angle. So the first thing you noticed, before anything else, was the eyes. I knew it was Siggy before I even registered that it was a goalie pic. It's the stare.
They also had one from the Hurricane Katrina relief benefit they did two weekends ago, which had both Sigalets in it, as well as another player (I forget who, but it didn't matter to me, either) and a few of the volunteers that helped out.
So I guess my point is, check back often! They change the pic about once a week (I think) and the pics the last three weeks have involved Jordan.
